Chuck E Cheese

Last Sunday Logan was invited to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese.  Sins and I were so excited to take him!  Our party table was located directly next to the big mouse and poor Logan didn't know what to think.  He pretty much just kept one eye on him the whole time we sat there.

After we ate we headed straight to the game area.  At first Logan didn't want to have anything to do with the games but finally realized how much fun it all was.  There were a couple of games that he wanted to play multiple times.  Sins showed him where the tickets you win come out and how to tear them off.  Logan liked tearing them off but then he just threw them down on the ground!  He will soon learn that tickets=toys!

The party was over but we still had a lot of tokens left so we decided to save them for another visit, along with all of the tickets we won.  What a perfect excuse to head back to play at Chuck E Cheese...Where a kid can be a kid!

Grapevine Sea Life Aquarium - Summer Bucket List

I've heard a lot about Grapevine Sea Life Aquarium so we added it to our Summer Bucket List and decided to finally check it out.  We arrived right when they opened and apparently that is a busy time for them. There were so many people that it was difficult to move around - we were packed in there like sardines!  However, Logan didn't seem to mind at all.

Logan adores all animals and recently watched Finding Nemo, which he absolutely loved.  After watching the movie he refers to all fish as, Memo and squeals with delight anytime he sees one.  All we heard during that trip was, "Whoa!" "Memo!"

What I liked best about the aquarium is that the tanks are a perfect height for toddlers.  There was no need to lift Logan up to see anything, he could just walk right up and check everything out.  The only bad thing is that you are not able to use your flash in there which made for some blurry pictures - the handful that we were able to take before the battery died.  SOMEBODY forgot to charge the camera battery so we didn't get to take that many blurry pictures.

I think he wanted to climb right in there with them!

We all had a good laugh when it came time to walk across that glass bottom bridge that is over the shark tank.  Logan was petrified of walking over it.  He didn't want to put even one foot on the glass and kept saying, "no, no, no!".  Sins picked him up and walked a little ways in and tried to put Logan down.  The poor kid immediately fell forward and was all fours crying out to be picked up.  He literally could not walk on it.  It was the funniest thing but at the same time it was kind of sad.  Needless to say, he was not a fan of the shark tank and wanted to get out of there.

Overall it was a fun experience and a pretty perfect place for a Memo loving toddler.
